Buying land in Second Life can be a fun and rewarding experience if you take your time and do a bit of research before buying. There are all types of land, and quite a wide range of prices. It is always a good idea to first figure out what you want, your price range, and then shop around. *Note: The recent drop in land prices has resulted in a great buyers market, however, this has also led to a proliferation of ad farms and beautiful sims being destroyed - cutting up a new sim into all 512m or 1024m is the same as destroying it, as a sim will only hold 40 avs at a time. Sometimes it is better to spend a bit more to get the quality land that has less of a chance of being ad cut and cut into small pieces which fill up and end up lagging a sim. There are incredible deals on waterfronts, ocean and prime mainland properties - they may cost more than the ugly rockland, but in the end they are a better investment if you want land without ad cuts and lots of lag. Here at MainLandSL.com we try to bring you the best priced quality land - while some of our properties may be more expensive than others of the same size, this is usually due to unique properties, like better terraform capabilities, Rare protected border land (nice if you don't want someone building right up next to you on all sides), and some special old world properties in nice established sims.
